Google Buying Twitter?
by TJ
There has been a lot of buzz on twitter today regarding rumors that Google may be gobbling them up. TechCrunch first reported it this morning citing unnamed sources. I have been curious since it first came out as to how twitter would grow. With apps like TweetDeck, it has already almost completely replaced my Instant Messengers and most of my RSS feeds. With Twitter, you get news as it happens, not afterwards.
With Google at the helm, where will it grow? Will they throw in adwords everywhere to try and monetize the traffic? Do you like the idea of Google controlling the show?

I support it. If anybody’s smart enough to run Twitter intelligently without sacrificing its charm, it’s Goog.
Aside, Dave Shea’s tweet made me chuckle: http://twitter.com/mezzoblue/status/1446756787
Well well well… Tech Crunch updated their post. Let the he said/she said roll forth.

That’s the problem in this information driven world we live in. Everyone has to be the first to report something, so they run on a story with insufficient evidence.
The risk of running with a false story is not as great as the potential reward of getting credit for breaking a story.
